Unconference sessions at the Summit – what's on your mind?

Emerging monarch

Over two hundred of us will soon be converging on the Googleplex for the very first Social Recruiting Summit. You’ve seen the agenda. You already know there is a fantastic mix of speakers and that each of them has their own unique lens they’ll be bringing to social recruiting. Each of the breakout sessions is designed to bring you into the conversation so be ready to join in! But, there’s one more very important element in the mix of speakers – YOU!  Yes, YOU!

Everyone attending the Social Recruiting Summit is invited to submit their ideas and lead a discussion.  The evolution of an idea is nurtured through diverse voices – and you’ll have plenty of voices to draw from.  As ideas are nurtured they morphe into something even more incredible then you may have originally imagined.  What ideas do you have?  How will they be shaped, grow wings and eventually take flight?

Unconference Sessions – are you ready for your hour in the spotlight?During each of the three concurrent rounds there is one open breakout session titled Unconfernece. This is your opportunity to lead a discussion around any social recruiting topic that inspires you and engages others.

Here’s how its going to work!
When you arrive at the Social Recruiting Summit registration area there will be a place for you to sign-up to host one of the three Unconference sessions. You’ll include your name, a session title and something compelling about your session (a few bullet points or short overview statement). When we break for the Google tour, each Summit participant will be able to identify their top sessions of interest. The three sessions with the highest level of interest will be selected and immediately given a time slot during one of the three breakout rounds. If you get session #1 your up in 5…4…3…2…1…showtime!

Each session should begin with about 10 – 15 minutes of you presenting your idea. Then, your role is to guide the conversation over the next 40 minutes, capture the groups contributions, and continue building on the original concept, or move in a new direction as the dialogue leads the way. This is the beauty of open dialogue and the value of collective voices.
